Follow the first-of-its-kind established "European Biotech Hub" as a vital platform aligning different European strategic instruments in the area of Biotechnology by integrating all relevant stakeholders on various levels, taking into account not only scientific and technological, but also geographic and societal aspects.

European Programmes and Initiatives

European Research Area Networks (ERA-NETs), Joint Programming Initiatives (JPIs), EUREKA and Bio-Based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI-JU) offer opportunities for all stakeholders to get involved with the European biotechnology community.

European Research Infrastructures & Services

Biotechnology research is multidisciplinary and relies on the availability of various facilities and services. Today, the European biotechnology community can utilise a large variety of Research Infrastructures and Research Services, spanning the whole breadth of the biotechnology sector and beyond.

European Biotechnology

Biotechnology plays an important role across Europe and has been acknowledged as a key enabling technology for the implementation of the bioeconomy. Therefore, biotechnology is part of not only the EU’s but also several national and regional bioeconomy related strategy documents.

Biotech Hub Meetings & Biotech Hub Workshops/Seminars for Stakeholder Engagement

The establishment of a Biotech Hub Meeting series is one of the main objectives the ERA CoBioTech partners have set out in their proposal. It will be vital in aligning and advancing the different European strategic instruments as well as national and regional biotechnology initiatives.

While the Biotech Hub Meetings have a strategic focus, the Biotech Hub Workshops/Seminars for Stakeholder Engagement aim to engage scientific and industrial biotechnology stakeholders and empower them to make the most of their involvement in transnational RD&I.
