Project Abstract
BioDiMet aims to develop a robust biocatalytic methyltransferase toolbox for selective synthesis of novel bioactives in an industrial setting. BioDiMet applies smart enzyme cascade reactions involving S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAM)-dependent methyltransferases (MTs). This will lead to novel products with new functional properties for healthcare.
BioDiMet is funded by the ERA CoBioTech partners: SGCTeIp, BMBF, CSO-MOH, NWO, UKRI-BBSRC, UKRI-InnovateUK and co-funded by the European Union.
Project Start: April 2018 Duration: 36 months
Project Budget: Total Cost: 2.421.000 Euro, Funding: 1.911.000 Euro
