Project Abstract
The HOMBIOCAT project aims at develop a tool-box for fabrication of efficient multifunctional biocatalysts. For this purpose HOMBIOCAT will assemble multi-enzyme systems at the nanoscale on solid and porous materials aided by protein scaffolds that guarantee the hierarchical and spatial organization of the functional modules. The main expected outcome of the project is a new technology based on novel multifunctional heterogeneous biocatalysts for the production of added value products for renewable raw materials.
HOMEBIOCAT is funded by the ERA CoBioTech partners: BMBF, AEI, CDTI, UKRI-BBSRC and co-funded by the European Union.
Project Start: May 2018 Duration: 36 months
Project Budget: Total Cost: 1.130.000 Euro, Funding: 980.000 Euro
