Project Abstract
The INDIE project aims to produce indole, an important flavouring compound with the main market in dairy, tea drinks and fine fragrances. Our aim is to produce natural indole via microbial fermentation and enzymatic bioconversion. Indole will be produced by an environmental-friendly production process using non-food competitive and renewable substrates.
INDIE is funded by the ERA CoBioTech partners: FNR, NWO, MIZS and co-funded by the European Union.
Project Start: June 2018 Duration: 36 months
