Project Abstract
The ContiBio project aims to control synthetic co-cultures in bioreactors by assembling a modular computational framework to address phenotypic and genetic instabilities arising at a single-cell level. The project will build a cell-machine interface based on our research efforts on microbial population interactions and dynamic single-cell data to transition from batch bioprocesses to continuous ones. This project will provide new technologies enabling the control and stability of continuous cultivation devices by addressing the phenotypic and genetic diversification found for industrial bioprocesses.
ContiBio is funded by the ERA CoBioTech partners: SPW-DGO6, and SMWK.
