read moreFor the third and last time within the framework of the ERA CoBioTech the BioTech Hub Meeting took place on May 19th, 2022.
The virtual conference brought together representatives from the European Commission and European research funding instruments, initiatives and partnerships, such as
as well as scientists and the general interested public.
With the beginning of the new 7th Multiannual Financial Framework, the funding under the Horizon 2020 framework programme comes to an end, and Horizon Europe will offer a wide range of new options for collaboration.
The aim of this particular meeting was therefore to discuss the transition process for different kinds of funding instruments and initiatives into the new partnerships under Horizon Europe. After a key note addressing the possibilities of biotechnology funding within the Horizon Europe framework programme, the speakers shone a light on their networks’ current position in the transition process, and on their goals, opportunities and challenges for the new funding period.
Thematically, the meeting covered white, green, blue and red biotechnology, adjoining health topics, bioeconomy, agriculture and materials.

The ERA CoBioTech consortium would like to take this opportunity to thank the more than 80 participants for their interest, insights and attention. The exchange of ideas about the future on biotechnology in Europe and the networking with all kinds of stakeholders was a highly appreciated.
